GSAK is er een alternatief?

Ik gebruik al vele jaren GSAK en moet zegen dat ik er heel tevreden mee ben.
Maar, GSAK wordt nu al een paar jaar niet meer onderhouden en het overkomt mij regelmatig dat de boel vast loopt en ik alles opnieuw moet installeren.
Dat lukt ook altijd wel maar als GSAK de ontwikkelingen niet kan blijven volgen komt er een moment dat het opnieuw installeren niet meer gaat lukken ik ik alle data ga verliezen.

Het is gelukkig nog niet zo ver, maar het roept bij mij wel de vraag op of er een alternatief voor GSAK is.

Wat zou een alternatief voor GSAK kunnen zijn.
Ik zie uit naar de reacties!

But note - that this is not a clone of GSAK, but a completely separate project that has similar goals to GSAK, but is very different.
I use GSAK only as a converter of oddly formatted GPX files, and my entire huge database of caches is exclusively in GeoGet. For cache solving work I find it more suitable. In addition, GeoGet allows you to handle databases of privately defined objects (tourist stamps, gas stations, trigonometric points, etc.)

Exist compatible application for Android - aDrake, similar to GDAK for GSAK.

Het programma GeoGet is inderdaad niet simpel te begrijpen. En alle documentatie is in het Tsjechisch. Mocht iemand een Nederlandse of Engelse handleiding hebben, hou ik me aanbevolen.

Onder de indruk van GeoGet.
Er zitten een aantal mogelijkheden in die in GSAK niet kunnen, en wel heel handig zijn.
Bij voorbeeld de kaart. Daarop zijn alle tussenpunten met lijntjes aan elkaar verbonden, en hij is zeer snel en handig.

Jammer ook dat er niets meer gebeurt in het onderhoud van GSAK.

Maar ik kan in GSAK momenteel ook een aantal dingen die ik niet in GeoGet kan en wel graag zou willen zien.
Zo kan ik nog niet vinden hoe je het aantal velden kunt uitbreiden.
In GeoGet kun je bv de plaatsnamen niet zien, en dat is jammer. Mogelijk is daar een plug-in voor, maar welke.
Er zijn meer velden die wel in een gewone GPX zitten die van geocaching.com komen die je niet kunt zien in de database.

Kan iemand mij helpen deze zichtbaar te krijgen?

Overigens lukt mij dat ook niet in GSAK.

En ja de site waarop veel hulp te vinden is in nog niet vertaalt. Met Google Translate kom je wel een eind maar die vertalingen zijn ook niet optimaal.

We have a support forum for GeoGet on the Czech server geocaching.cz, it would be possible to start an English thread there as well, but it is worse to go through the registration process. The author also has a Facebook thread, but it is not much used, maybe I could arrange with him if it would be possible to use it for support.
There is a lot of documentation on the https://www.geoget.cz/doku.php/user server and especially there are materials from various training sessions that are held from time to time - the "Training Materials" paragraph, maybe after translating it using DeepL translating it could be understandable.

Of course, I can also advise to a limited extent, I realize that the goals of GeoGet and GSAK are similar, but the path that these systems take is very different. After a basic understanding of the basic principles (e.g. the concept of "list"), understanding that a "waypoint" is in our case what GSAK names as a "Child waypoint". Also, it is not customary to use "corrected coordinates" the emphasis is more on waypoints, also GeoGet does not make any substantial adjustments to the original data. We assume that if someone wants a cache icon at the final coordinate (but which ???) most navigation programs can handle that.
